Service Pack 4 for Microsoft Dynamics® RMS 2.0
We recommend that you contact your Microsoft Dynamics® Partner before you install feature packs, service packs or hotfixes. It is important to verify that your environment is compatible with the installation. A feature pack, service pack, hotfix, or download may cause interoperability issues with customizations and third-party products that work with your Microsoft Dynamics solution.


WHAT'S INCLUDED IN SERVICE PACK 4

The following improvements are included in this service pack:
  • Support for partial authorization. Payments made by credit card, debit card, or gift card will be partially approved instead of declined if there are not sufficient funds on the card to complete the transaction. The customer has the option to approve or deny the partial authorization. When approved, the customer completes payment by using another tender type.
  • Authorization reversal. When a cardholder decides not to proceed with a transaction or when a cashier voids a card transaction that has not yet settled, the authorization is reversed instead of returned. This frees up the available balance on the customer's card.
  • URL change to support TSYS payment provider workflow changes.
  • Updated receipt template includes balance for provider-supported cards (for example, prepaid gift cards).
  • Updated tender validation workflow.
  • Fix for issue that was leading to a Voucher Client error.
  • New columns in the VisaNetAuthorization table, ResponseApprovedAmount and ResponseCardLevel.
  • Validation against the Payment Card Industry Payment Application Data Security Standard version 1.2.1.
  • Performance improvement for purchase ordering.
  • Resolved issue that was preventing purchase orders from being opened on more than one computer at a time.
  • Indexing added to ItemID and LastUpdated fields of the ItemValueLog table, in Store Operations and Headquarters databases.
  • Fix for quote recall errors.
