How To: Edit Receipt Template Messages

To edit the message lines of a receipt template:
  1. Open up Retail Management Systems Store Operations Manager.
  2. Go to Database -> Registers -> Receipt Formats. This should open the Receipt Formats window.
  3. Double-click on the Receipt Template you are using for your registers.
    • If you are not sure which Receipt Template you are using:
      1. Go to Database -> Registers -> Register List.
      2. Double-click on an active register.
      3. Check both the Receipt Printer 1 and Receipt Printer 2 tabs for active and/or journaled receipt templates.
  4. Click on the Properties... button next tot he Sales line.  This should open the Receipt Properties window.
  5. Scroll down until you see the Footer Line 1 - Footer Line 5 properties.
  6. Make desired edits to the text.
    1. Text should be limited to about 28 characters per line.
    2. Each Footer Line should be surrounded by double quotes (").
    3. Leaving a line blank will cause to be skipped.
  7. Press the OK button.
  8. If prompted with the message Would you like to update all transaction type that are currently set to 'name of receipt template'?, select Yes.
  9. Press the OK button.
  10. Restart the POS for changes to take effect.
