RMS Physical Inventory Cleaner

The RITE RMS Physical Inventory Cleaner is a FREE application that resolves an issue Microsoft RMS has when calculating physical inventory counts multiple times while the store is in operation.  RMS seems to have a problem where the expected quantity counted will not update when you recount the inventory if you've change the date/time of when you counted the product.

Using this tool is as simple as 1, 2, 3!
  1. Go to our Plug-in Directory and download the application and install it. Click here for a direct link.  
    If the application is already installed you can skip this step.

  2. Run the application from the start menu by going to Start > All programs > RITE > Physical Inventory Cleaner.  If this is the first time you're running the app you'll be prompted for your license key.  After the application has been activated, you will also be prompted for your database connection information, so please be sure to have this information handy.
    NOTE: This is a free app, so if you need a license key simply log in to our site, or create a new user account and go to the RITE RMS Physical Inventory Cleaner page to see the license key.

    BEFORE performing the next step ensure ALL RMS Physical Inventory Count screens are closed on all computers!!!
  3. In the main window click the Find button and search for the inventory you'd like to clean.  Once you've selected it click the Clean date calculated on selected physical inventory and the physical inventory will be properly reset to be recounted. 

    Once you've run the application, reopen the Physical Inventory within Store Operations Manager and click the Calculate again, it should now be using the latest count date/time to compute the physical inventory counts. 


UPDATE:  Microsoft release version 2.0.0162 on 1/11/2012 (Hotfix #27) that also has a critical fix that may relate to this issue as well.  Here's the exact text from Microsoft's fix log:

"The Physical Inventory feature in Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations does not recognize the Count Date when calculating the Expected Quantity."
