RMS XML Render Error when Printing Z-Report
When printing a Z-Report or X-Report some users get an XML Render error message that will say "Compiler Error: Token Null was not found." It may also list a file name in place of Null, see below for an example of this where the file name Test was used.


In most cases what this is trying to tell you is that it is having trouble loading the image that would print on the X/Z-Report. This can be fixed by installing a new X-Report that does not try to print the logo image.

Getting and Installing the New X-Report Template

  1. Click here to download the new file.
  2. Right click on the file you downloaded and select the Extract All... option, when it asks for a location to extract it to select the Desktop.
  3. Open Store Operations Manager and log in.
  4. Click on Database > Registers > Receipt Formats.
  5. Select your receipt template then click the Properties button.
  6. Click on the last magnifying glass icon which is on the row that says Report
  7. Navigate to the Desktop and select the file named XReport, then click Open.
  8. Click OK to close the receipt format properties window.
The steps above only need to be done on one computer.

Once you have installed the new receipt template you can close and reopen the Point of Sale program on each register to get them to use the new file.
